3. The Princess

When they walked through the door they appeared at a ruin instead of the meadow. The ruin is located atop a large hill. The Hill was completely destroyed.

When Fia, checked closely at the ruins, which is located around her. It felt familiar, but she had not dreamed of it as with the meadow.

Suddenly she heard a familiar voice said:

"Welcome back, it feels like it was an eternity since you were here last."

Fia turned around and saw Guano stand behind her with a smile on the lips.

"It was a while ago, Guano," said Mikia while she went against him.

After she said it Fia asked herself if it was the cat he welcomed and not her.

"You know each other?"  She wondered with a surprised voice.

"Yes, we have known each other since the Princess went missing", said Guano happily.

When she heard this she could not put up with any questions.

"Can someone explain to me what's going on here?" Fia shouted out after a while.

Guano, which had stopped to smile, tossed a curious glance at Mikia who just nodded.

"If you really liked to, but are you absolutely sure you want to know what's happening?"

He asked with a serious gaze.

Fia nodded eagerly, for her anger had disappeared and instead had her curiosity took over, for she had initially believed that he would not respond to her.

"Ok, but remember, I warned you.  13 years ago the princess was born, as you already know," he said, and looked at Fia with a questioning glance before he continued.

"It was a special thing with the girl that not many magicians are, she was a ´Half´, as we call it."

"What is a half?" wondered Fia whenever she could.

"Well, a half is that you're", answered Mikia her.

"Is it a human?" asked Fia, who didn't get smarter by the answer.

"Well,  almost", Guano said and glared angry at Mikia, who was ashamed and cured into a ball.

"A "half" is a magician who was also born as a human being in your world", he replied with a smile.

"But wait, what has this to do with me?" asked Fia with increasing confusion.

Guano was watching the cat with the question look again, and she just nodded.

"Come, I shall explain", he said emotionless.

After a while, he began to move towards something that looked like a door opening.

Curious Fia followed after him.

They went in through the doorway and into something that seemed to have been some kind of room.

After a while Guano stopped and turned around to face Fia and said:

"One day, when the Princess was a child, her parents sent me on…"

Further he could not speak until Fia interrupt.

"Wait here now. Have you worked for the Royals?" She said with laughter in her voice.

These words wounded Guano, but he tried to ignore it.

"Yes, I have. I was actually very good at my job. Popular vas I too", he said, and was proud of what he said.

After a while, he continued the story.

"Yes, the King and Queen wished that I would check out what it was for the strange cloud that was on the way to the castle. Therefor I took Ji ...

But longer than that didn't he say.

Fia noticed that he had tears in his eyes and he was on the edge of weeping.

"There, there, guano. It will get better, "said Mikia with a tender voice.

"What is wrong?" Fia said without thinking.

Mikia gave her an angry and wild glare before she replied.

"He is depressed over that he lost his beloved Jixa, "said Mikia and started wepping she too.

Without knowing why, Fia could feel how tears began to appear in the corner of her eyes.

After a while, she said:

"Who was Jixa?"

She tried not to be too curious, because she didn't want to hurt him more.

" Jixa ... was ... my ... protect animal", "said Guano still sobbing while he dried out the tears.

"What is a 'protect animal'?" asked Fia, who only know what people cognized about sorcerers.

"One like me" said the cat that was in the mood to tease Fia for her ignorance.

"Jixa was a cat? You flew on a cat?" asked Fia who became confused.

"No, Jixa was ... a griffin. Mikia meant ...that  she ... is a ... protect animal too, "said Guano now sobbing after a few words.

It took a few seconds before he continued.

"Alright, now I understand. I am sorry for what happened, whatever it was, "she said with
such a nice voice she could.

"It has to do with Erick and Stevie, if you now want to know, "said Mikia with soft voice.

"Yes, I would. Can you tell the rest while Guano recovers?" Fia asked the cat.

"Yes, I can. Guano and you know who, "she said looking at Fia with a interrogative gaze.

Fia nodded, she knew exactly who she meant.

Longer than that she didn't come.

"We are not in a hurry, are we? wondered Fia, who was a little disappointed that she did got to know what had happened on meadow after she gone home.

"Forget that. When they came home Guano told the King what had happened, while the Queen looked after the Princess. But when Guano had reported to the King what had happened, Erick and Stevie attacked the Castle. That's all I know, "she said.

"Was it all?" asked the Fia who would have liked to hear more.

"No, there is more, much more, "said Guano, who had stopped crying.

"When we saw them coming, we ran to the Princess and Queen Diana. When we reached them, we saw that Erick and Stevie had tricked Diana, Princess and Mikia ..."

He interrupted himself. He had been stupid and talked without thinking.

"Is Mikia the Princess protecting animal?" asked Fia who was completely shocked.

"Yes, I am, but I was a kid when this happened, so I don't know what happened during the struggle, "she said looking at the floor.

Mikia nodded with a smile.

Mikia and Fia nodded, then where become quiet.

When the King saw this, he took out his wand and cast a powerful spell.
Unfortunately, they managed to duck, and the spell hit the wall a centimeter from the Queen's shoulder, which burned her a little.
But in the same moment Stevie had jumped away, she threw another powerful spell.
In this way it keept on all the time, until the Queen decided to protect the Princess and Mikia, by opening a portal to your world, and give her to her human body.
Then the King opened a portal and brought him and the Queen to safety. Although he hesitated at first, but we said that he would go.
When Erick and Stevie saw this they said a terrible inconvenience, which took and raged the entire castle.
It's the one we are standing around, "said Guano and made a gesture to the ruin.

"After they cast the inconvenience it was just barley that they come out alive from there. Same thing for me. There was just us three who survived. Because when someone say such a formula on the inside of a building, that person often dies too, said Guano and started almost crying again.

"It was that happened to Jixa? She died with the others in the Castle?" wondered Fia.
Guano nodded in response.

"But I can't understand what the Princess's disappearance has to do with me?" She said now with an enraged voice.

Guano looked again at the cat with the question look in his eyes.

It took a moment before she nodded, but she nodded slowly, as if she hesitated.

"I think it's time for you to get to know the truth, "he said.

He was quiet for a moment before he continued.

"You are the Princess", was all he said and stared at Fia with a serious gaze.

"I'm the Princess? But it means that I am a witch," said the Fia with a smile, one of her wishes had come true.

Guano nodded with a smile, because he had believed that she would be upset.

"And it means that Mikia is my protect animal, "she said and watched the cat who nodded.

"This is totally amazing, but why I have not been told anything until now?" She said, looking at Mikia, Guano.

"It took a while for me to get in touch with Mikia, which would then make contact with you, "said Guano.

"Yes, it was funny that you got happy about the news, but now you need to go back. I think the dinner is ready and you don't want to make your mother worried, do you?" asked Mikia and sounded pretty stressed.

"Yes, you're probably right, "said Fia and toss a glance at Guano, who waved his hand.

After a few moments a portal opened not far from Fia.

"Are you coming? "asked Fia and watched Mikia.

"Yes, I will. You go up ahead", said Mikia strained.

Fia said no more but turned around and walked towards the door.

When she was gone, said Mikia:

"I am afraid that we have been observed both now and in the past, "she said with a worried voice while she watched Guano.

"Do you think ..."

He interrupted himself, he did not dare even to think of the idea.

"I am afraid of it, "said Mikia and looked quickly at Guano one last time before she ran away towards the door.
